The Ultimate Predator

In my January 2008 column in the Alberta Outdoorsmen (‘Rubs, Scrapes and Tangle”, I discuss the ultimate freshwater predator in Canada, the northern pike (Esox lucius). I relate some of the biology of the fish and how its absolute decisions to strike make it an exciting fish to pursue.
