Don Meredith Outdoors is a web log about my writing and experiences in the wilds of Alberta, Canada and the world. I live west of Edmonton Alberta near Lake Wabamun.
I am a wildlife biologist by training and a writer and public communicator by profession. I write a monthly column for the Alberta Outdoorsmen magazine, “Rubs, Scrapes and Tangle“, and have published many articles in numerous publications, including Canadian Geographic and the Edmonton Journal. I have published two award-winning young-adult (12 years and up) adventure novels, Dog Runner and The Search for Grizzly One. I am a past President of the Outdoor Writers of Canada. I also belong to The Writers’ Union of Canada and the Writers Guild of Alberta.
